E.y.E is SMU's first investment interactive club. It was set up in March 2002 by a group of students who possess similar interest in investments and financial planning.
Kenneth Nah
President

Kenneth’s internship experiences involve working at Kim Eng Securities as a trainee dealer for equity sales under the dealing desk, and at Oanda Asia Pacific. He is a member of Eurhythmix, SMU's hip hop dance group, and also the Cable Director of SMU Wakeboarders'. Strong believer in having a healthy work-life balance. His motto: "Work Hard, Play Hard!" His other hobbies include skateboarding and drinking coffee.

Sylvia Goh
Vice-President (Events)

As the VP for events, Sylvia is responsible for working together with the club's partners to organize and introduce events that are aligned with the club's vision and mission. She heads the Events wing, which includes all internal and external events, human resources, corporate communications, and the club's finances. Generally more risk-averse than risk-seeking. Loves traveling, photography and gourmet dining.

Jayne Teo Wilin
Events Director

As Events Director, Jayne is responsible in making sure the events that the club organises are well coordinated. She enjoys seeing her friends take away something of value from the events that she organises as well as gaining satisfaction from a job well done. Always cheerful and bubbly, she is a joy to have around. Always game for a good laugh!

Daniel Tan
Finance Secretary

As the Finance Secretary, Daniel oversees the budget for the club during the academic year. Other than handling claims and sponsorships, Daniel also manages cash flow and school account for the club. His trading strategy includes a long term view and he prefers stocks with a good dividend yield. Enjoys reading, playing soccer, fitness training. Loves Japanese food.

Valerie Low
Human Resource Director

As the HR Director, Valerie is responsible for fostering unity among executive and organising committees. She also provides support for the Events VP by effectively processing human resource issues such as allocating manpower in club events and monitoring the list of personnel in the club. She plays badminton and loves music and travelling.

Teo Baona
Corporate Communications Director

Baona manages communication within and outside of the club, answering external queries and keeping information about the club online updated. A people-oriented girl, with a knack for thinking of new ideas. Enjoys the theatre, sports and travelling. Simple things in life makes her happy - like a good book over coffee!

Toh Yi Fan
Vice President (Research)

Yi Fan is a year 3 student studying the school of business. As VP of research, his job focuses on educating the club’s members and to encourage people to take a more active role in investing. He firmly believes that everyone has the ability to succeed, provided that they have the passion and drive to continually learn and adapt. Extremely knowledgeable and with a quirky personality to boot. Enjoys reading and early morning or late night runs.

Benny Khoo
Research Director (TA)

As the Research Director of TA, Benny develops the Technical Analysis syllabus for members in the club. This knowledge is structured according to the varying related complexity, and imparted to members in progression during the BRM, ARM and RS respectively. Benny’s trading strategy is the use of fundamental analysis as a basis for a good stock pick, and technical analysis to time his entry into the market.

Linton Phua
Research Director (TA)

Together with the research team, Linton regularly provides market forecasts, stock picks and market analysis on the club’s website. His daily forecasts are also published on his own blog - http://abundance-in-trading.blogspot.com/. When it comes to trading, Linton prefers to diversify his trading strategies, using both automated and manual strategies to attempt to beat the market. In his free time, Linton finds enjoyment in aviation photography as well as taking part in cycling events.

Shaun Chia
Research Director (FA)

Like his fellow research peers, Shaun’s main role is to come out with the content of the research meeting’s syllabus and disseminate lessons as part of the club’s general investors’ education for members. As a fundamental person and a moderate risk taker, Shaun believes that he is more of a long-term investor and generally invests in local equities with good dividend yield. Enjoys listening to pop music and singing.

Don Jong
Research Director (FA)

Don is currently a year 3 business student majoring in Finance under the International Trading Track. As Research Director for FA, Don helps in conducting the weekly research meetings as well as spread his knowledge and perspectives on investing to others. He takes a conservative investing approach and prefers to learn more about the market before committing himself to it. Plays soccer on Sundays if he can find the time.

Shaun Phoon
Research Director (TA)

Actively trading the markets, Shaun’s job in E.y.E is to keep track of potential trading opportunities to discuss with the club. Also, he prepares lessons on his trading strategy, which will remain a secret until you attend his classes! Enjoys adventure sports and traveling over summer, such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and diving in Zanzibar.

Louis Koh
Research Director (FA)

Louis is not only responsible for developing and presenting the coursework for weekly research meetings, but also ensure that these resources are readily available for members. He is also heading the Commodity sector team in the Research Subcommittee. Louis invests in unit trusts and will invest in individual counters if he sees an opportunity. Loves reading and wants to try sky-diving and para-gliding.

Kelvin Low
Research Director (FA)

Kelvin is responsible for developing and presenting the lesson plans for the weekly research meetings. He is also heading the Property sector team in the Research Subcommittee. He first started his foray into the financial markets with forex trading, using only technical analysis. Picking up fundamental analysis skills, he then went on to investing in the Singapore equities market. Loves outdoors adventure, travelling and trying new things.

Ben Lim
Logistics Director

As the Logistics Director, Ben works closely with the whole club to ensure everyone’s logistical needs are met with and constantly stays on task. His investment strategy include a wide diversity of assets that cover stocks, bank deposits, mutual funds and insurance plans. Ben is also a writer for the Blue and Gold, a swimmer for Sharks and the Publications Director for SMU Economics Intelligence Club.
